Yalding is a pretty village located outside Maidstone in Kent, between East Pecham and West Farleigh. Yalding has two bridges that date back to the 15th Century and it lies on The River Medway. The town bridge is recorded as being the longest surviving medieval bridge in the County. The name Yalding is registered in the Doomsday Book and was known as Gealding which in Anglo Saxon times meant 'Old Village'. Yalding is not a large village and the closest small town for shopping is Paddock Wood with Maidstone being the closest for a bigger shopping adventure.
