Description:
WOW is a free, monthly arts and entertainment magazine featuring the best of What’s On Where for Medway, Maidstone and the accessible beyond.

Launched by actress Emma Dewhurst in December 2010, WOW aims for the highest possible production values, with quality articles, excellent design and helpful, regular listings in Film, Music, Theatre and Visual Art.

WOW is available in print and in its page-turning e-edition online at www.wowkent.co.uk.  Current print circulation is 5000, with copies distributed to all five Medway towns and to Maidstone.  Recently the magazine has also reached Gravesend.   There are over 150 pick-up points in libraries, bookshops, galleries, cafes and arts centres – all designed to reach a highly targeted audience of culturally focused readers who like to go out.

WOW is supported entirely by advertising complementary to its style and ethos, with returning clients including prestige organisations such as the Historic Dockyard, Chatham; Nucleus Arts; Maidstone Borough Council; Medway Council; Edith May Thames Barge; Man of Kent Alehouse and smaller creative SMEs, artists and makers taking advantage of the extremely reasonable ad space rates.

As well as winning Best Creative Business in the Kent Independent Traders 2012 Awards, WOW has been nominated for a Medway Culture & Design Award 2012 (to be awarded in December 2012).

What other people say about WOW:
‘As a creative person who has recently moved into the area, I wanted to tell you that I think your publication is something to be incredibly proud of, and I hope that people tell you that often enough!  It is an inspiration.  Thank you.” Laura Callaghan, Rochester, June 2012

“Have just picked up a copy of your magazine from the front desk here at work.  I just wanted to email to say how impressed I was with the quality of the production, both editorially and design-wise.  It’s a refreshing change to see a (I assume) lower-budget local publication with such high production values.  I will keep reading with interest.”  Well done!”  Steve Howard, Medway Innovation Centre, May 2011

“I was hoping maybe we could get a little feature similar to last time, especially as we had so many visitors coming along saying they had seen the feature in WOW which was brilliant.”
Sian Bostwick, Jeweller, Nucleus Arts on Medway Open Studios in WOW, Oct 2012

“Not surprised word is spreading on WOW, it's quality.”
Neil Burrow, The Preservation Society Presents record label,  August 2012

“…and thank you for the awesome service you provide!” Band member, Los Salvadores, August 2012
