Description: The famous Whitstable Oyster Festival takes place between 24th July and 30th July 2010. This week of entertainment and events in the charming sea side town of Whitstable brings the whole town alive with visitors from all over Kent and Beyond. The Town of Whitstable celebrates its history as well as its future in this colourful and entertaining week of events. There are both indoor and outdoor events that will be taking place and there is definitely something for all the family. In total there are over 150 events of different kinds taking place throughout the week. The highlight being the eclectic Oyster Parade and the 'Blessing of the Waters' For music lovers there are events covering many genres, you won't be disappointed.
