Valentines Day in Kent

Kent is a beautiful county full of places to share the romance. There are beautiful country parks in which to have a picnic, fabulous castles and historical houses to visit and get lost in a moment in time as well as some wonderful and enticing pubs an restaurants to share with the one you love.

Romance isn't dead - thank goodness for that because here at Kent Ideas we are all soppy, love chick flicks and love films where the guy gets the girl.

Valentines Day is celebrated on 14th February and it is said that it is named after two early  Christian martyrs called Valentine. It wasn't until the days of Geoffrey Chaucer that Valentines Days began to be associated with Romantic Love. Now it is a time when lovers exchange valentines gifts, flowers, poems or do some kind of romantic gesture to show their loved one how much they care.

Valentines Days is also associated with hearts, love hearts, doves and of course the figure of Cupid often appears on cards and gift paper.

Kent Ideas bringing you information on the best Valentines Day ideas for eating out and gifts across the county.
