Tunbridge Wells, or should we say, Royal Tunbridge Wells was so named due to a spring that is still visible today. Tunbridge Wells was a popular place for both Royalty and the Aristocracy to visit. The quaint shopping are known as The Pantiles is still a popular area of the town for visitos and locals alike. Tunbridge Wells offers a mix of modern with the old and country with the town. Tunbridge Wells lies about 20 miles away from the county town of Maidstone and is a popular commutor residential area for London.
