Description: "Though only in their 20s, Electric River have been playing together for 6 years. Formed while at school, Electric River have honed their live act and song writing, gaining rave reviews and a growing fanbase. Playing to packed houses in venues such as the Islington Academy2, the Scala and the legendary 100 Club to promote their self released album “Radio No Go”, reviews in both Big Cheese and Rocksound immediately drew comparisons between Electric River and the Clash. This did not come as a great surprise as the Clash are one of their biggest influences (The Clash album London Calling being particularly influencial). Like the Clash, Electric River are prolific song writers of original material in many styles from Punk to Rock to Ska and everything inbetween. These songs have a political / social edge, young people with something to say, songs with meaning. Electric River have returned to the studio with Joe Fields (who has worked with Paul Weller, Prodigy and Amy Macdonald) completing recordings of 3 brand new tracks (Phony Radio, Jungle, The Fixer).
