Canterbury Castle is a Norman Castle that is located within a few minutes walk of Canterbury East Station. Canterbury Castle was built not long after the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
The Castle is owned by Canterbury City Council and is open to the public all year round.

Canterbury Castle is one of the original 3 castles built in Kent. The other two being Rochester and Dover. All three Castles lie on the main route from London to Dover.
The Castle ruins still remain impressive to this day.
